Questions Readers Ask

The answers are below. No spoilers.

What is A Vantage Mystery?

A twenty-book series following Vantage, a London-based private intelligence firm. Each book is a self-contained case: a sealed environment, a specific crisis, a team of four investigators who read rooms the way other people read newspapers. The cases stand alone. Readers who follow the full series will find a longer thread running beneath them, visible only in accumulation.

The series sits at the intersection of classic closed-circle mystery and contemporary corporate thriller. Christie meets Knives Out for the corporate-tech era.

Do I need to read the books in order?

No. Each book is a standalone investigation. You can read Nothing To See Here without any prior knowledge of the series, and the same is true for every book in Arc 1 (Books 1 through 6). The mystery is introduced, investigated, and resolved within each volume.

That said, reading in order rewards you. The team develops. Details accumulate. Readers who finish Book 6 and return to Book 1 report noticing things they missed the first time.

Is this a trilogy or a longer series?

Twenty books across three arcs. Arc 1 (Books 1 to 6) establishes the team and the cases. Arc 2 (Books 7 to 9) begins pulling at the threads that connect them. Arc 3 (Books 10 to 20) follows where those threads lead. Each arc stands on its own. The full twenty is a complete story.

Is the series on Kindle Unlimited?

Yes. All current titles in A Vantage Mystery are available on Kindle Unlimited. If you’re a KU subscriber, you can read the entire available series at no additional cost.

Is there a paperback edition?

Yes. Nothing To See Here is available in paperback through Amazon. All books in the series will be published in paperback. If you prefer reading in print, the paperback is the same complete text.

Is there an audiobook?

Not currently available for Nothing To See Here. Audiobook production for the series is planned with proper narration. We will not be releasing AI-generated audio. When the audiobook is ready, it will be announced here and through the mailing list.

Are there trigger warnings?

The series deals with corporate crime, financial predation, blackmail, and on-page reference to a character sustaining a serious injury. There is no graphic violence depicted in detail. The tone is procedural rather than visceral. Readers who are sensitive to themes of institutional abuse of power and exploitation of employment relationships should be aware those themes run throughout the series.

What authors should I expect?

If you enjoy the intricate plotting of Anthony Horowitz, the ensemble-driven tension of Richard Osman, the wit of Janice Hallett, or the structural precision of Stuart Turton, this series is built for you. The corporate-tech setting is its own thing, but the satisfactions are familiar: a closed circle, a real mystery, a resolution that earns itself.

Is Book 1 really free?

Nothing To See Here launched as a free Kindle download. Pricing may change as the series builds. Check the Amazon listing for the current price. Kindle Unlimited subscribers can always read it as part of their membership.

When does Book 2 arrive?

All Taken Care Of is the second case. A wellness retreat. Twenty guests with their eyes closed. One death during a silent meditation session. Vantage has seventy-two hours before the next intake arrives. It is available now on Amazon and Kindle Unlimited.

Are Books 3 through 6 already written?

All twenty books in the series are written. Volumes are being released on a regular cadence through 2026 and into 2027. The full release schedule is available on this site.

Where do I start if I want to follow the series?

Start here. Nothing To See Here is Case One. The team, the firm, and the method are all introduced. It is the right place to begin, and it costs nothing to find out whether this series is for you.
