He is warm in a way people don’t immediately recognise, his warmth expresses itself through thoroughness. When James cares about someone, he pays closer attention to the details of their life. He remembers allergies, anniversaries, preferred room temperatures. He once reorganised the firm’s entire filing system over a weekend because Rowan mentioned she couldn’t find something. He never told her he’d done it.
